Makeover was just what mom needed

To the Editor:

I want to thank Amee, Leah and the rest of the girls at the Radiance Spa in Milaca for making my mother feel beautiful again. My mom lost her identical twin to cancer and stopped taking care of herself due to depression. The women at Radiance helped me pull a fast one on her by saying she won a contest for a makeover. This was the only way I could get her in.

Leah took care of my mom and got her to actually cut her hair short! She took the time to find out the perfect cut and colors for her and even showed her how to style it afterwards. It brought tears to my eyes when I heard my mother talking to Leah about the loss of her twin. She vented for the first time in a long time and I watched the years of pain fall off her face as Leah listened patiently.

Amee, the owner of Radiance, made her coffee and even scheduled our mother-daughter makeover for the whole afternoon so we wouldn’t be rushed. I want people to know that since our time at Radiance Salon my mom does her hair every day and puts on makeup. She has begun exercising and has lost weight too. I haven’t seen her smile like this in a long time.

You ladies made us feel at home and I appreciate the wonderful job on our hair and our spirits! I have my beautiful mom back and she’s finally starting to heal all thanks to you Radiance Salon and Spa!
