Police Report: Week of March 22

The following incidents were reported to the Princeton Police Department between March 12-18. The times printed are when a complaint was received, not necessarily when it occurred.

Monday, March 12

3:16 p.m. Officer watched over residence in 1400 block of 12th St. N. while an individual retrieved a vehicle and some personal items.

6 p.m. Officer responded to the Holiday station where gas was leaking from a vehicle while the owner was at the pump. Fire department  responded.

Tuesday, March 13

3:16 a.m. Stopped a suspicious vehicle and called in the county canine unit to do a vehicle sniff. Cleared incident.

4:12 a.m. Assisted the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Department with a domestic dispute in Foreston.

5:02 a.m. A welfare check was performed on a person inside a vehicle in the Shopko parking lot who had been parked in the lot for a few hours. Suspect was fine and speaking to his girlfriend using a webcam and a wireless internet connection.

11:27 p.m. A vehicle ran out of gas in the roundabout. Officer helped push the vehicle to Hy-Tech Auto, about a block away.

Wednesday, March 14

4:20 a.m. An officer out on foot patrol located an open door at a business in the 500 block of 2nd Street S. County canine unit assisted in a building search. All was clear.

11:44 a.m. Responded to Crystal Cabinets on a medical response where an individual was reported to have severed a finger.

3:32 p.m. Dog feces were reported in a mailbox in the 400 block of 6th Ave. S.

Thursday, March 15

4:53 p.m. A 20-inch Redline Slant bicycle was reported stolen from the 1500 block of 1st St. Bike valued at $200.

Friday, March 16

5:31 a.m. A strong-arm robbery was reported in the 700 block of Rum River Drive S. Victim said he was grabbed from behind while suspect demanded his wallet. Victim fought off suspect, who then fled. Suspect was not apprehended.

4:49 p.m. Complainant reported that her mother was scammed into wiring $2,400 out of the country. The transaction was frozen and not completed. Money will be sent back to the victim.

Saturday, March 17

7:59 p.m. Assisted the Minnesota State Patrol with a vehicle accident on Highway 95 and 120th Street. Both drivers suffered minor injuries and were transported by ambulance to Fairview Northland Medical Center.

11:21 p.m. Eggs were thrown at a residence in the 1000 block of 7th Ave. N. A window screen was damaged.

Sunday, March 18

7:27 a.m. Officer responded to a one-veicle crash in the 2700 block of 50th Ave. Vehicle crashed into a mailbox.
