Strong-arm robbery in city

Princeton Police investigated a report of a strong-arm robbery in the early morning hours of Friday, March 16.

A sanitation worker was making a garbage pick-up behind the laundromat at 720 S. Rum River Dr. when he says a male grabbed him from behind and demanded his wallet. The sanitation worker fought off his assailant, who then fled over an embankment towards the golf course, Princeton Police Chief Brian Payne said.

Police officers set up a perimeter, called in the Mille Lacs County canine unit and a search of the area was conducted, Payne said. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

Police have added extra patrol in the area, the Chief said.
