The Princeton Tigers’ Kate Hudson was named to the Section 7AAA all-section team as recognition for her play during the 2012 high school softball season.
Five members of the Princeton High School girls softball team were named to the Granite Ridge Conference all-conference team.
Pitcher Sam Hanus, third baseman Haley Ostendorf and outfielder Kate Hanson were named to the all-conference team. Sam Hunn and Katelyn Vickers were named to the all-conference honorable mention team.
Earning all-state academic awards were Mel Trunk, Vickers, Ostendorf. The three girls joined Haley Sandin in earning all-conference academic awards.
Hanson was recognized as the team’s top hitter with a .432 batting average. Ostendorf was second with a .410 average and Hunn was in third with a .353. Hunn also led the team with three home runs.
