Police Report: Week of June 28

Monday, June  18

7:25 a.m. The chain on the main gate to the police department impound lot was cut and the lot entered. A vehicle was entered and the ignition housing tampered with. The vehicle was not taken. Two items were left behind. Incident remains under investigation.

8:23 a.m. A scooter was reported stolen off a motor home in the 1500 block of 13th St. N. Scooter valued at $2,000.

12:16 p.m. A semi tractor and trailer was reported going northbound in the southbound lane of Highway 169. Patrick Zabinski, age 43, was arrested for third degree DWI.

Tuesday, June 19

10:34 a.m. A male reported finding items in his front yard in the 1000  block of 9th Avenue S. that appeared to have been from a wallet. The finding corresponded with a report that a wallet had been stolen from a vehicle while parked at the hospital. Many forms of ID and bank cards were reported stolen. There was an attempt to use a debit card online.

12:24 p.m. A sexual assault of a child was reported. Incident is under investigation.

10:45 p.m. While officers were searching for a missing vulnerable adult (adult was located) officer came upon a juvenile male and juvenile female who were intoxicated. One tested a .140 on a preliminary breath test, the other a .022. They were taken to their respective homes and turned over to parents.

Wednesday, June 20

9:25 a.m. A theft was reported from a vehicle parked in the 1100 block of 8th Ave. N.

12:13 p.m. A gas drive-off in the amount of $20.18 was reported at Holiday.

4:25 p.m. A juvenile was seen jumping the fence at the splash park and vandalizing a metal desk. No permanent damage was reported.

4:39 a.m. A window on a residence in the 800 block of 10th St. N. sustained damage as a result of a pellet gun.

Thursday, June 21

11:21 A theft was reported at ACE Hardware.

4:59 p.m. A gas drive-off was reported at Little Dukes.

5:43 p.m. Assisted Mille Lacs County with an injury accident on Highway 95 at 75th Ave. Officer administered first aid.

7:18 p.m. A black 15-speed bike was reported found in the 800 block of 8th Ave. S.

Friday, June 22

2:02 a.m. Officer observed vehicle driving 87 mph in a 65 mph zone on Highway 169. Vehicle then went east on Highway 95 driving 61 mph in a 50 mph zone. Vehicle was stopped on 3rd Street in Princeton. Dwight M. Wade, 61, was arrested for DWI.

12:18 p.m. An individual brought an injured fawn to the police station that he had found on Rum River Drive near the Rainbow Park. The fawn had a broken leg. The animal had to be humanely put down.

2:48 p.m. The unauthorized use of a bank card was reported.

4:34 p.m. Police were called to a hair salon where a mother was causing a disturbance after her daughter received a haircut that the mother was unhappy with.

6:24 p.m. An individual reported that an unknown male confronted him in the 400 block of 4th Ave. S., punched him several times, pulled his hair, and stole his cellular phone. The man was about 6 foot, four inches, bald, and had tattoos. Witnesses collaborated the story.

11:56 p.m. Assisted Mille Lacs County with a report of a theft of anhydrous from a location in the 6400 block of 100th Ave. Officers assisted with a traffic stop in the city and an arrest of an uncooperative driver.

Saturday, June 23

7:21 p.m. A two-vehicle accident was reported in the roundabout. No injuries were reported.

Sunday, June 24

4:21 p.m. A hit-and-run accident was reported in the 200 block of Rum River Drive S.

5:09 p.m. A garage in the 1200 block of 11th Ave. N. was reported to be entered through a back window. Screen was cut with a knife. Only item reported stolen was a six-pack of Schmidt’s Beer.

9:17 p.m. A 22-year-old male was arrested for driving after revocation for the fourth time this year.
