Police Report: Aug. 2, 2012

Monday, July 23

2:15 a.m. Complainant was involved in a verbal argument over the phone in which he received a death threat. Complainant told officers he was in fear for his life.

1:03 p.m. Two cartons of eggs were reported to be broken on a vehicle in the 1200 block of 11th Avenue N.

2:07 p.m. A bike was reported stolen from a yard in the 900 block of 3rd St. N. Bike was a purple-pink color with banana seat and a yellow license plate that read “Fargo.” Bike valued at $100.

3:34 p.m. Spray paint vandalism was reported to a building in the 600 block of Rum River Dr. S. Trash bins were also vandalized. Cost of damage estimated at $50.

4:43 p.m. A dog was quarantined for not being current on its rabies shots after biting a resident.

5:43 p.m. A 36-year-old female was cited for theft from Coborn’s after leaving the store and not paying for pens valued at $21.23.

10:51 p.m. Officer pulled over a theft suspect on Rum River Drive. The driver had in his possession merchandise stolen from several Princeton retailers, including three bottles of Vicks 44 from Coborn’s, chips and beef jerky from Holiday and two candy bars from Casey’s North.

Tuesday, July 24

3:10 a.m. An 18-year-old male was arrested for underage drinking and driving, open bottle and underage consumption. The male was pulled over on Highway 169 at Rum River Dr. after being observed driving from side to side. He crossed the fog line twice and the center line once.

2:27 p.m. The theft of plants was reported from the cemetery. Plants, but no planters were taken. Extra patrol was requested.

Wednesday, July 25

9:33 a.m. A two-vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of Rum River Drive and 128th St.

3:28 p.m. A check forgery was reported at Bremer Bank. Check written in the amount of $966.81.

5:45 p.m. A female was observed taking mail from a mailbox and throwing it on the ground. Some mail was also opened. Suspect located. Officer discussed with suspect the seriousness of her actions.

Thursday, July 26

8:58 a.m. A vehicle in the 400 block of Rum River Dr. S. was reported to have had a radio stolen from it.

10:37 a.m. Police investigated a bullying complaint at Riverside Park. Three juveniles were allegedly bullying younger children.

7:16 p.m. Investigated a report of individuals drinking alcohol in Riverside Park.

Friday, July 27

5:35 p.m. A person flagged down an officer stating he needed to be at the jail in 25 minutes to serve time for a probation violation. After confirming with the jail, suspect was handcuffed and transported to the Mille Lacs County Jail.

6:15 p.m. A dog that was tied to a tree bit a person in the face after the victim walked past the dog to enter the back door of the residence. Victim received care at the hospital. Dog appeared current on its shots.

Saturday, July 28

8:51 p.m. Vandalism was reported to a washing machine in an apartment complex in the 800 block of 6th Ave. N.

11:57 p.m. Responded to a verbal argument in the 600 block of Rum River Dr. N.

Sunday, July 29

3:05 a.m. A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle parked at the hospital. Value of items stolen estimated at $75.

10:27 a.m. Assisted Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s deputies at the E-Ride building on 92nd Ave. Building was broken into.

1:05 p.m. Responded to the 1400 block of 3rd Street where a horse reportedly got spooked and injured a female. The horse ultimately ran head-first into a fence and died.
