Police Report


The following incidents were reported to the Princeton Police Department betwwen July 30-August 6. The times printed are when a complaint was received, not necessarily when it ocurred. The report was compiled by Jeff Hage.


Monday, July 30

11:08 a.m. Complainant reported he lost his wallet while using the restroom at Coborns. The wallet was turned to store officials. However, $280 was reported missing from the wallet.

2:07 p.m. Complainant reported fraudulent activity on his bank account. The account was subsequently frozen.

3:25 p.m. Complainant reported that he purchased a van, but at a wrong price lower than the sticker price. Seller was trying to reclaim the difference in money. Officer advised that this is a civil matter.

7:23 p.m. Family Dollar reported a customer throwing merchandise on the ground, damaing some property.

Tuesday, July 31

2:28 a.m. A woman in the 800 block of 3rd Street N. wanted police assistance in removing bats from her house.

5:31 a.m. A patron of Holiday couldn’t pay for $50.01 in gas. Suspect went home to get money.

7:31 a.m. A vehicle hit a building at fairview Northland Regional Hospital Minor scratched sustained by both the vehicle and the building.

1:56 p.m. A person reported being the victim of an assault in the 800 block of south Rum River Drive.

4:56 p.m. A man reported that a boat valued at $2,500 and a trailer valued at $750 were missing from a rental property he was leasing. Landloard was contacted. The complaintant’s lease had expired at noon that day so the items considered abandoned and were moved to secure storage.

9:11 p.m. A woman, who was a passenger in a vehicle, called police to report that she believed the driver was intoxicated based on her poor driving. Kathryn Ann Stiemart, age 61, was arrested for suspicion of DWI. She registered a .138 on a preliminary breath test.

9:15 p.m. Responded to McDonalds, where juveniles were making obscene gestures and lifting their shirts in the view of customers. The juveniles were asked to leave. Parents were notified.

Wednesday, August 1

3:39 p.m. A donation box was reported stolen from Casey’s North.

Thursday, August 2

3:50 p.m. A business owner reported a spay-painting complaint in the 100 block of Rum River Drive N.

7:07 p.m. A wallet was found on the road near the Marathon station. Owner contacted. Wallet returned.

Friday, August 3

9:19 a.m. The theft of a handicapped parking tg was reported.

11:08 a.m. A robbery was reported at Bremer Bank. (See Page 1).

6:57 p.m. A 26-year-old female was apprehended on an active warrant out of Stearns County for failure to appear in court.

8:26 p.m. A male was sending suicidal text messages. He was put on a 72-hold and transported to the hospital.

Sunday, Aug. 5

A hit & run accident was reported on Old 18 Circle.
