Police Report: Aug. 16

The following incidents were reported to the Princeton Police Department between August 6-13. The times printed are when a complaint was received, not necessarily when it occurred. The report was compiled by Jeff Hage.


Monday, Aug. 6

4:11 a.m. A 14-year-old male was cited for obstructing the legal process and a curfew violation. The teen had lied to officers about his age in an attempt to avoid a curfew citation. The teen was taken home and released to his mother.

7:59 a.m. A rear window of a vehicle was damaged at Princeton Auto. In addition, the theft of four tires was reported. The incident in under investigation.

11 a.m. Officials at Christ Our Light Church reported finding clothes under a stairwell behind the church.

1:37 p.m. A citation was issued to an individual who walked into the roadway in the 100 block of Rum River Dr. S., causing traffic to stop abruptly.

5:49 p.m. Assisted the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department in searching a Princeton residence for a teen who had escaped from a juvenile detention center.

Tuesday, Aug. 7

10:35 a.m. A vehicle was reported stolen from Princeton Auto Center.

12:03 p.m. An unlocked vehicle was entered while parked in the 200 block of South Rum River Drive. Prescription drugs and cigarettes were reported stolen.

4:37 p.m. Responded to the 1000 block of 7th Ave. N. to assist Sherburne County with apprehending someone on an active warrant.

11:06 p.m. A 20-year-old male and 18-year-old female were arrested on Meadow View Road for domestic assault and child endangerment. A three-month-old female was placed in protective custody.

Wednesday, Aug. 8

2:57 p.m. Assisted Mille Lacs County with a driving complaint on Highway 169 at Highway 95.

11:45 p.m. Responded to an accident on Highway 95 at West Branch Street. A person ran over a sign post in a concrete island, causing vehicle to be disabled.

Thursday, Aug. 9

8:53 a.m. A 34-year-old female was arrested for a probation violation.

3:03 p.m. A female reported that the front quarter panel of her vehicle had been keyed.

Friday, Aug. 10

7:34 a.m. A 23-year-old male was arrested on a Sherburne County warrant.

10:26 a.m. A person on a riding lawn mower put $3.01 in gas in the mower and drove off from a gas station without paying.

11:04 a.m. Fireworks were found in the back yard of a residence in the 800 block of 3rd Street N. Fireworks were confiscated. A verbal warning was issued.

1:43 p.m. A storm sewer gate was reported stolen. Item valued at $300.

Saturday, Aug. 11

A vehicle was stopped on Highway 169 near Highway 95 after being observed crossing over the fog line on three occasions. Canine unit was called in. Located a large amount of pills and small amount of marijuana. Three females were arrested. Vehicle held for forfeiture along with cash. Arrested were Amy O’Brien, 26; Lydia Smith, 32; and Sheena Garbow, 30.

7:19 p.m. A person was reportedly bit in the face by a dog in the 100 block of Woodland Court.

Sunday, Aug. 12

2:52 a.m. Responded to a report of loud music coming from a residence in the 100 block of Woodland Drive. Citations were issued for underage consumption.
