Police Report: Aug. 23, 2012

The following incidents were reported to the Princeton Police Department Aug. 13-20. The times shown are when the incidents were reported and not necessarily when they occurred. Compiled by Joel Stottrup.

Monday, Aug. 13

12:06 a.m. Stopped vehicle for smashed windshield and verbally warned driver to fix.

12:29 a.m. Assisted Mille Lacs County Sheriff by maintaining perimeter around house until deputies arrived at  120th Avenue. A report had been made that prowlers were chased into residence.

1:48 a.m. A report of loud music from vehicle and barking dog. Advised male to deal with barking issue or male would be cited. Parties cooperative.

1:33 p.m. Impounded orange kitten.

3:12 p.m. Gave advice in domestic issue situation.

6:28 p.m. Report of juvenile climbing water tower in area of Old Hwy. 18. Located person walking on the road and advised him to “keep his feet on the ground.”

7:04 p.m. Report of two juveniles on bikes “flipping” woman off and swearing at her at an intersection. Unable to locate.

Tuesday, Aug. 14

9:45 a.m. Report of theft from vehicle between 8 a.m. that day and 10 the night before for estimated loss of $400.

10:44 a.m. Assist to Isanti County regarding theft.

2:14 p.m. Advised person about complaint of harassing phone call and texts.

7:03 p.m. Advised parent that information on son not following home rules would be sent to boy’s probation officer.

7:46 p.m. Advised person to turn music down in apartment. Person complied.

9:47 p.m. Gave group of juveniles at Holiday station advice and disbursed them. Group cooperative.

9:50 p.m. Report of someone in white pickup  dumping garbage in receptacle and speeding off when confronted.

Wednesday, Aug. 15

Person returned to Holiday to pay for $50 worth of fuel.

3:05 p.m. Within the past four days someone cut three bolts from exhaust system and tried to steal it from a diesel pickup at Princeton Auto Center.

4:15 p.m. Juvenile reported as runaway.

4:22 p.m. Cited female, 27, for stealing four pairs of Silver Tab jeans from Ossell’s. Jeans valued at $346.

7:35 p.m. Officer mediated situation in which vulnerable person left group home and was reported drinking at Northern Attitudes. Officer received request to take person to detox. Result was the vulnerable adult returning to group home and going to bed.

Thursday, Aug. 16

Woman asked police to speak to driver of truck that was reported following woman home and then driving away when woman’s mother came out of house.

7:15 p.m. Arrested male, 43, on a Mille Lacs warrant.

8:03 p.m. Juveniles reported trying to get into mobile home through window at Willow Circle. Property manager restrained juveniles until police arrived. No information on disposition of case.

11:55 p.m. Physical fighting between two males reported in front of VFW club.

Friday, Aug. 17

Arrested Christopher John Beckrich, 25, on suspicion of DWI pending blood test. PBT test showed .135 blood alcohol count.

1:37 p.m. Located owner of wallet found in planter box. Owner reported $100 missing from wallet.

1:57 p.m. Police and firefighters responded to gas odor at 1220 14th Ave. N. Gas company notified.

3:50 p.m. Two 20-inch BMX bikes reported stolen from back of truck for $255 loss.

3:52 p.m. Advised resident on using best judgment and documentation in trimming of apple tree that was hanging over fence onto apartment complex.

7:33 p.m. Transport hold placed on person who had made threats to harm self. Alcohol involved. Transported to hospital.

8:09 p.m. Disturbance reported in smoke pit at 801 3rd St. N. Reported as an ongoing issue there.

Saturday, Aug. 18

Report of person having become intoxicated and taking pills and then requesting to be taken to hospital. Request granted.

12:41 a.m. Transported person to residence who came into Holiday store. She was lost and could not find relatives’ house where she had been staying.

1:05 a.m. Disturbance reported at residence where persons were playing beer pong. Officer advised group to keep noise down and later transported one person to jail on a warrant.

1:19 a.m. Arrested Jennifer Ann Easton, 35, on suspicion of DWI pending blood test.

1:51 a.m. Deputy transported passengers in vehicle involved in DWI arrest to Foreston residence. Passengers were reported being belligerent with Finish Line sober cab staff person.

2:47 a.m. Light observed in auction yard along Baptist Road. Determined to be blinker left on fire truck there for auction. Advised deputy.

1:30 p.m. Disturbance reported. Officer mediated dispute among brothers.

2:44 p.m. Male voluntarily went to hospital after making 911 call about wanting to harm self.

10:19 p.m. Arrested female juvenile for domestic assault and took to detention center.

10:46 p.m. Driver returned to Holiday to pay for $55.02 for fuel.

Sunday, Aug. 19

2:46 a.m. Verbal warning to driver regarding cracked windshield and going over fog line.

5:11 a.m. Brought driver to gas station to get fuel after running out of gas.

6:46 a.m. Located small baggy containing white crystal substance next to gas pump at 810 Rum River Dr. N. Tested positive for meth.

Monday, Aug. 20

1:32 a.m. Arrested male for giving false name and date of birth and cited driver for driving lane violation.

2:18 a.m. Gave verbal warning to person about driving conduct.
