Tiger Girls Soccer forges GRC-leading tie with SCC Crusaders

Princeton girls soccer finished off a five-games over eight-day stretch by playing visiting St. Cloud Cathedral to a 2-2 tie on Sept. 13. The Tigers and Crusaders are now deadlocked atop the Granite Ridge Conference heading into this week’s play. Junior Brittany Beckman scored both Tiger goals against Cathedral.

In other action, the PHS girls handed St. John’s Prep its first loss of the season in a 6-1 win and knocked off Rockford 4-1.

The Princeton boys ran into the two Granite Ridge leaders last week, falling to St. John’s Prep 6-0 Sept. 11 and 11-0 to St. Cloud Cathedral Sept. 13. The Tigers hit the road for non-conference games this week (at Robbinsdale Cooper Sept. 18 and at section-partner Two Harbors Sept. 25). In between is a home GRC rematch with Little Falls Sept. 20.
