30 marijuana plants seized in Livonia

Sherburne County drug agents seized 30 marijuana plants from a Livonia Township residence on Sept. 19.

Jacob Knapik, 35, Zimmerman, was arrested on drug charges following the execution of a search warrant at a residence on 254th Avenue, according to Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott.

Specifically, Knapik was booked into the Sherburne County Jail for 5th degree possession of a controlled substance and 5th degree sale of a controlled substance.

Sherburne County deputies were originally called to the residence in the 13000 block of 254th Ave. NW in Livonia Township after receiving a report of an assault at about 9:30 p.m. on the night of Sept. 19. While deputies interviewed people involved in the assault they obtained information about a marijuana growing operation at the residence.

In addition to the 30 marijuana plants, agents with the Sherburne County Drug Task Force seized containers containing dried marijuana and lights, fans and other items used for the growing of marijuana, Brott said.
