Suzanne Borth

Suzanne Borth, 78, of Princeton, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 at Fairview Northland Regional Hospital in Princeton.

Suzanne was born January 20, 1934 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of George and Cresenta (Heigel) Chanez.

She attended and graduated from Assumption High School in Davenport, Iowa. She attended Iowa State University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in home economics.

She moved to Minnesota to take a job at Dayton’s department store.  She met her husband Robert at a dance in Minneapolis. They were married on Sept. 7, 1956 in Minneapolis. Suzanne worked in retail throughout her life.

Suzanne loved to play cards, especially 500, Rummikub and penny poker.  She crocheted prayer shawls for people in need.  She sang in the Silvertones Choir at Guardian Angels Retirement Home in Elk River.  She was a very selfless person, always willing to help and give. Suzanne traveled to Alaska to see the whales and seals and she also traveled to Paris which was a lifelong dream of hers.  Suzanne was very dedicated to her family and will be dearly missed.

Suzanne is survived by her son:  Mark (Lisa) Borth of Dent; daughter Cherie (Albert) Ruedebusch of Zimmerman; son Gregory Borth of Zimmerman; grandchildren Jessica, Kristina, and Joey; great granddaughter Hayleigh; sisters Linda, Georgia and Cleo; and brother Robert.

Suzanne was preceded in death by husband Robert and sister Maryann.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Princeton.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. onThursday, Oct. 4 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Princeton. Interment will be Thursday, Oct., 4, at Minnesota Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.
