Wolves girls defeat Spectrum, Mora

Senior guard Julia Putz scored 16 points as Milaca stopped Spectrum-PACT Charter 63-43 in a non-conference girls basketball game Monday at Milaca.

Junior guard Sarah Forker added 10 points and sophomore guard Alex Ploeger scored eight.

It was Milaca’s second-straight victory.

On Friday, the Wolves trimmed Mora 50-39 in a Granite Ridge Conference game at Mora, avenging an earlier loss to the Mustangs.

Sophomore forward Makayla Paggen paced Milaca with 10 points.

On Tuesday, Jan. 22, St. Cloud Cathedral defeated Milaca 59-46 in a GRC game at Milaca.

Ploeger scored 12 points while Forker had 11 and Putz 10.

Milaca is 2-8 in conference play and 5-12 overall.

The Wolves host Becker tonight (Thursday) in a GRC game at 7:30, then host Princeton in a GRC game Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 7:30.
