Sweeney is with Top 20 Training, which bills itself as being about “empowering youth and adults to make a positive difference in the quality of their lives, relationships and experiences.”
People will have to RSVP for two of the sessions. One of those is the free one for the public at the high school, where a free dinner will be served from  5-6:30 p.m. That will be followed by the 6:30–8 p.m. presentation in the performing arts center called “Above and Below the Line.” RSVP to community education at 389-4789 no later than Feb. 25, or e-mail the RSVP to
The other session to make reservations for is for the business community at Steven’s Restaurant. It will be a noon-1 p.m. dinner/presentation and the cost is $6. Call the chamber of commerce office at 389-1764 no later than Feb. 26 to RSVP for that one.
A third session will be given in the early afternoon to Princeton Alternative Secondary School (PASS) students. Sweeney says that will be just for the girls in the PASS program and will be on awareness of life’s obstacles. That will be followed by sessions later in the afternoon at the high school for coaches and administrators.
Note that free child care is offered for parents coming to the evening presentation at the high school. Many volunteers will be helping, including the local LEOS Club, a youth group affiliated with the Lions organization.
Leaders of the district’s Title I, community ed and early childhood education departments and the district’s positive behavioral interventions and support program began organizing the program last fall. Mindy Jezeirski, involved with the Title I component, said the financing came from a combination of Title I money and a $1,000 grant from Resource & Training  Solutions in St. Cloud.
Jezeirski described Sweeney as “a very upbeat, engaging speaker,” who uses a lot of humor and real life experiences in her presentations. “She has the ability to connect with a variety of different audiences.”
Top 20 Training’s website has a video talking about its TLC workshops helping people move away from having negative feelings about themselves to feeling empowered to steer their life on a better path.
Top 20 Training states that the workshop’s principles could result in the attendee making a “positive difference in your life and the lives of others.” It goes on to say: “All people have the potential to become difference makers, to create meaningful and successful experiences for themselves and others.
“However, not all people know they have this power. Learn about ways to reduce negativity from the workplace to create a more positive culture, build trust, draw out the talents of employees and enhance communication and problem-solving skills. The real key to success in life is how people look at themselves, others and the world around them.”
