Tiger boys win at Hibbing

TCstampPrinceton kept its season alive in the Section 7AAA boys basketball playoffs after defeating host Hibbing 88-82 in the March 5 play-in game between the Nos. 8 and 9 seeds.

Senior Travis Chmielewski (left) paced the offense with 34 points, and he also swiped 7 steals on defense. Travis finished the game hitting 13-of-17 at the free throw line. Matt Wendorff (17 points/10 rebounds) and Jack Sinkel (20 points/7 rebounds) also played big in the Tiger victory.

Princeton (6-21) earned the right to travel to 7AAA top-seed Hermantown (23-3) for the Friday, March 8 quarterfinal game (7 p.m. start). The winner of that game will advance to the Wednesday, March 13 semifinals (6 & 7:45 p.m. at Duluth).
