Susan was born on November 4, 1955, to LeRoy and Beverly (Fortune) Talbot. She had two younger brothers, David and Ronald.
On June 29, 1974, Susan married Garth Willhite and together they had four boys, Nathaniel, Robert, Trevor and Garth Jr.  They moved from Fridley to Sandstone in 1989, where they built the “farm.” On Thanksgiving Day in 2001, Susan suffered six strokes that forever changed her life.  Shortly after, she moved to Big Lake with her brother David, before buying her home in Princeton.
Susan loved to fish. She would ice fish for days and even if she didn’t catch a thing she was still happy just to be fishing. She also loved gardening, canning the vegetables that she grew in her gardens, cooking, collecting things, holiday baking, finding treasures at garage sales, snowmobiling and the holidays. She was always known to start Christmas shopping in January. Her passion was for her family. Raising her boys to be the men they are now and then the grandchildren each of them gave her; they were her world.
Susan was preceded in death by her father LeRoy and her brother Ronald. She is survived by her mother Beverly; brother David; son Nathaniel, his wife Piper and children Emma and Earl; son Robert and children Kaden, Ava and Kiptyn; son Trevor, his fiance Megan and children Corbin, Xander, TayzaBelle and Huxlee; son Garth Jr., his fiance Lisa and daughter Loriana. Susan also had many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Susan’s life was held on March 9, 2013, in Big Lake.
A very special thank you to the staff at Guardian Angels in Cambridge and hospice for the special care, concern and comfort they gave Susan and her family; you are all amazing. Also to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Princeton for everything you did for us during this difficult time.
