Police report: April 22-29, 2013

The following incidents were reported to the Princeton Police Department between April 22-29.

Monday, April 22

12:57 a.m. A person found a hypodermic needle laying near a curb in the 100 block of South Rum River Dr. Officer disposed of the needle.

Tuesday, April 23

7:06 a.m. Assisted the State Patrol with an accident on Highway 169 at Highway 95.

7:38 a.m. Responded to an accident in the 600 block of Rum River Drive S. where the driver of a vehicle spun out and hit a tree.

9:18 a.m. Received a report of unauthorized withdrawals being made from a complainant’s checking account.

Wednesday, April 24

1:48 p.m. Responded to an accident in the 100 block of 9th Avenue Circle.

4:10 p.m. Assisted Mille Lacs County in the arrest of a 34-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding warrants from Mille Lacs, Isanti, Crow Wing and Sherburne counties.

Thursday, April 25

8:26 a.m. Responded to a civil dispute between two property owners in the 800 block of Second Street S. who were arguing over property lines and garbage can placement.

8:38 a.m. A student was in possession of an inappropriate object at North Elementary School.

1:24 p.m. A student at North Elementary made threats towards the bus staff. Juvenile was counseled by officer.

2:22 p.m. A possible theft was reported at Walmart. Report to be sent to county attorney for consideration of charges. Female was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Chisago County.

4:01 p.m. A 42-year-old male was cited for retail theft at Walmart. Suspect was seen pushing a cart across the parking lot and behind the vacant Dollar Bell building. Items involved in theft valued at $75.

Friday, April 26

3:58 a.m. Officer responded to a one-vehicle rollover in the median of Highway 169 between Rum River Drive and Highway 95. A 23-year-old male was arrested for DWI.

10:24 a.m. A gas drive-off of $53.02 was reported at the Marathon station.

1:45 p.m. Responded to an accident in the 100 block of North Rum River Drive.

11:21 p.m. Complainant in the 300 block of 9th Avenue S. reported seeing balls of fire floating in the air. In addition, an object on fire landed in the yard. Officer found that an individual was lighting off a type of fireworks known as a flying Chinese lantern. Suspect was warned to cease activity.

Saturday, April 27

1:36 a.m. Audio electronics were reported stolen from the bed of a pickup truck in the 500 block of First Street.

2:18 p.m. A large grass fire was reported at 2781 127th Avenue.

8:55 p.m. A large fire was reported in a yard in the 200 block of Ninth Avenue S. Owner was burning leaves and wood in a fire greater than what city ordinance allows. Owner advised to put fire out.
