Panthers split Eastern Minny matchups

The Princeton town team baseball squad split its last two games against Eastern Minny League opponents. The Panthers are currently 4-3 in EML games, 4-4 overall.

On June 7, Princeton fell to host Hinckley 4-2 despite a good outing from Kyle Connelly (eight innings, seven strikeouts). Rapping two hits each for the Panthers were Mike Lorden, Jordan Neubauer (double) and Jesse Zimmer.

Saturday afternoon back in Hinckley, the Panthers shut down Ogilvie 8-0 as Josh Ludwig racked up 16 strikeouts in six innings against the Outlaws. Princeton mustered only three hits – two by Kyle Norman who scored two runs – but took advantage of 12 walks. Lorden also scored two runs.

Next up: at Rum River (Cambridge) June 12; home vs. Ogilvie June 14 (7:30 p.m.); at Nowthen June 15 (2/4:30 p.m. double-header).

The Panther tournament then follows June 21-23 at Solheim Veteran’s Field.
