Beverly Bakos

Beverly Bakos, age 77 of Princeton, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.
Beverly was born January 17, 1936 in St. Paul, the daughter of Thomas and Louise (Regenold) Strunge. She was united in marriage to Joseph Bakos on July 24, 1965 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Cambridge. obit Bakos
The couple lived in Cambridge for 17 years before moving to Princeton in 1982. Beverly enjoyed garage sales, antiquing and going to flea markets and auctions. She also loved her many trips to Vegas and gambling.
Beverly is survived by her children, Sharon (Henry) Dondlinger of Augusta, Ga., Cathleen Retka of Andover, JoAnne (John) Gergen of Andover and Joseph Jr. of Princeton; grandchildren Carolyn, Angela, Erica, Andrew, Evan and Emma; eight great-grandchildren; siblings Jerome (Joyce) Strunge of Champlain, Barbara Strunge of Milaca and Donna (Roger) Holland of Milaca; brother-in-law Richard Simonsmier; dogs Harley and Teddy; cat Peanut; along with numerous nieces and nephews along with their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joseph Bakos Sr.; son-in-law Kurt Retka; sister Marlene Simonsmier; and dog Buffy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 20 at Christ Our Light Catholic Parish- North Campus in Princeton. Visitation will be held  from 4-8 PM on Friday, July 19 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home Chapel in Princeton and will continue one hour prior to the services at church on Saturday.
Father Kevin Anderson will preside and interment will be in St. Edward’s Cemetery in Princeton.
