Police Report: July 8-15, 2013

The following incidents were reported to the Princeton Police Department between July 8-15. The times printed are when a complaint was received, not necessarily when it occurred. The report was compiled by Jeff Hage.

Monday, July 8
3:28 a.m. Officer investigated an open door at Riverside Plaza. No damage located.
4:55 a.m. Arrested Samantha Sue Kittride, 21, for DWI test refusal in the 300 block of Rum River Drive South.
1:46 p.m. Assisted Mille Lacs County with an accident on Brickton Road at 45th Street. Minor injuries were reported.
8:38 p.m. Received a report of multiple kittens stuck in a storm sewer. Officer called public works, which removed a grate, allowing kittens to be removed.
11:02 p.m. Officer removed an unwanted male from an apartment building at First Street and Rum River Drive. Male was sleeping near a set of stairs. Suspect was transported to be with family in Milaca.
Tuesday, July 9
3:51 a.m. Assisted Mille Lacs County with a traffic stop on 19th Avenue.
1:34 p.m. Picnic tables were vandalized with obscene writings in the 400 block of 11th Avenue South.
1:53 p.m. Responded to a report of a person laying on a sidewalk on Rum River Drive at 4th Street South. The person was having asthma issues.
Wednesday, July 10
12:13 a.m. Three fraudulent payroll checks were cashed at Coborns. They were in the amounts of $968.19, $983.19, and $977.23. Three suspects were identified.
7:27 a.m. A CAT skid loader was reported stolen from a site in the 1200 block of 18th Avenue South. Skid loader valued at $71,000.
Thursday, July 11
4:09 p.m. Ten law enforcement officers from Princeton, Milaca and the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Department worked in an attempt to arrest a person on a felony warrant.
Friday, July 12
11:13 a.m. Officer received a report of a suspicious person with large amounts of copper piping in his truck. Suspect located. All checked out OK.
Saturday, July 13
12:35 a.m. Received a report of a female walking along Highway 95. Female was located. Said she couldn’t find her parents house. The 20-year-old female was cited for underage consumption of alcohol. She had a .205 blood alcohol level.
4:03 p.m. Officer received a report of a submerged vehicle on 18th Street at 100th Avenue. Vehicle was unoccupied when officer arrived. While on scene, driver arrived and said the incident occurred while swerving to avoid hitting a dog that ran across the road.
8:26 p.m. Officer took a report of a stolen BMX bike in the 500 block of Rum River Drive South. Bike was stolen while victim went inside a store for a few minutes. Bike valued at $350.
Sunday, July 14
12:26 Officer located a black mountain bike behind Family Dollar. Bike was impounded.
9:56 p.m. Officer took a report of a vehicle being broken into in the 400 block of Fourth Avenue South. Taken were a wallet, driver’s license and $100 cash.
