Police Report: Week of Aug. 15, 2013

The following incidents were reported to the Princeton Police Department Aug. 5-11. The times printed are when a complaint was received, not necessarily when it occurred. The report was compiled by Jeff Hage.

Monday, Aug. 5
12:06 a.m. Responded to a domestic disturbance between a mother and daughter. A 27-year-old woman was arrested for domestic assault.
1:21 a.m. A suspicious person was reported in the park at 1401 N. Rum River Drive. The person had a blood alcohol content of 0.245 and was given a ride to the sober house.
3:45 a.m. A laptop computer was reported stolen from Walmart. The value of the computer was unavailable.
11:16 a.m. A gas drive-off in the amount of $59.36 was reported at the Marathon station.
12:47 p.m. A car hit a building at 805 S. Rum River Drive.
2:24 p.m. The back window of a vehicle was reported to have been shattered while parked in the 1600 block of 12th Street South.
7:40 p.m. A man was reported to be lying in the middle of the road at 120th Street and 85th Avenue. He was arrested for DUI.
8:55 p.m. Responded to a disturbance between a mother and son. A complaint was filed for misdemeanor domestic assault and theft.
Tuesday, Aug. 6
8:24 a.m. Officer responded to a vehicle rollover in the 4300 block of Highway 169. A 32-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene.
12:59 p.m. Received a report that 14 dogs were residing in a residence in the 1000 block of Sixth Avenue North. Officer spoke to resident, who confirmed complaint.
8 p.m. Lightning struck a tree in the 1200 block of 11th Avenue North. The tree hit a house and also fell onto the road. Fire department also responded and removed tree from the road.
Wednesday, Aug. 7
12:48 p.m. An accident was reported in the 1600 block of 12th Street South. Damage estimated at more than $1,000.
4:08 p.m. Received a 911 hang-up call. Officer found that a 2-year-old had played with the phone.
Thursday, Aug. 8
11:55 a.m. Removed an unwanted individual from an apartment building in the 1300 block of 15th Avenue North.
1:54 p.m. Investigated an earlier altercation on the playground at North Elementary School between three juvenile males. Two of the juveniles admitted to urinating on the slides and entering a storage shed. The slides were cleaned and the juveniles prohibited from playing on the playground in the future.
6:49 p.m. Took a complaint from a woman who said she gave a four-wheeler to her ex-husband five months ago to repair. The ex-husband said he sold the four-wheeler. Couple referred to civil court.
Friday, Aug. 9
5:28 a.m. A gram of meth was located in a makeup bag near a gas pump at a Princeton gas station. Situation under investigation.
10:49 a.m. An unattended campfire was reported in the 900 block of Second Street North. Officer extinguished fire with a garden hose.
11:50 a.m. Assisted Sherburne County in trying to locate a vehicle.
Saturday, Aug. 10
12:14 a.m. A red Mongoose BMX bike was found in Riverside Park and taken to the police station.
2:27 a.m. Assisted Mille Lacs County in trying to locate a suspect involved in an assault.
7:40 p.m. A Galaxy S4 cellular phone was reported lost or stolen. Phone valued at $250.
Sunday, Aug. 11
1:19 p.m. A gas drive-off in the amount of $48.03 was reported at Little Dukes.
2:44 p.m. A vehicle hit a transformer in the 1400 block of Third Street North. The transformer was knocked off its base and live wires were exposed. The PUC put the box back on its base.
11:18 p.m. Assisted Mille Lacs County with a report of a male in an older SUV stopping in the 3200 block of Rum River Drive and attempting to steal a road construction sign.
