Wolves lose to Flyers

Little Falls, behind senior running back Jalen Wuchko, topped Milaca 41-17 in a Granite Ridge Conference football game at Milaca Friday night.

Wuchko piled up 235 yards on 31 carries and had a pair of 25-yard touchdown runs.

The Flyers, 1-1 in GRC play and 1-2 overall, led 14-3 at halftime before outscoring the Wolves 27-14 in the second half.

Sophomore quarterback Nathan Hass, making his first varsity start, completed 19 of 34 passes for 231 yards and two touchdowns. His scoring passes were 67 yards to senior back Jorgen Erickson and one yard to junior receiver Levi Hunt.

Milaca, 0-3 overall and 0-2 in Granite Ridge play, hosts Albany Friday, Sept. 20, at Claffy Field at 7 p.m.

In other GRC games Friday, Becker tipped Foley 13-7 in a key showdown, St. Cloud Cathedral topped Albany 17-14 and Zimmerman stopped Mora 36-6.
