Wolves score homecoming victory

A 14-yard scoring run by sophomore quarterback Nathan Hass in the fourth quarter lifted Milaca to a 13-10 homecoming victory over Zimmerman Friday night at Claffy Field.

Hass, who passed for 119 yards, connected with senior Brian Kiel on a 21-yard scoring pass near the end of the first half.

Milaca senior receiver Trevor Roelofs caught three passes for 40 yards while junior receiver Nic Wolbert had three catches for 26 yards.

Noah Lunning rushed for 88 yards and scored on an 18-yard run to lead Zimmerman.

Milaca, 2-4 in Granite Ridge Conference play and 2-5 overall, closes regular-season play Wednesday, Oct. 16, by hosting St. Cloud Cathedral at 7 p.m. Cathedral lost to Becker 49-28 Friday at St. Cloud State University’s Husky Stadium.

The Foley at Albany and Mora at Little Falls Granite Ridge games Friday were suspended because of severe weather conditions. The games were scheduled to be completed today.
