Last lesson at school house

The old school house on the grounds of the Sherburne Wildlife Refuge was burned in a training drill on Saturday, Nov. 30 that gave Princeton, Baldwin and Milaca firefighters a valuable lesson in fighting a live burn. Once used as an education center for Refuge programs, the school house was condemned a couple years ago. Land has been cleared for a new education building with the hope that funding comes through that will allow construction to begin soon.
