Joyce E. Boettcher passed away peacefully Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the age of 94 years.
Joyce was born Jan. 15, 1920 in Princeton to Ralph and Leila House. She graduated in 1938 from Princeton High School.
On Aug. 23, 1941 Joyce married George Boettcher in Spencer Brook. Their marriage was blessed with a son James and daughter Mary Lee. They farmed in Spencer Brook township until 1969 when they moved to Princeton. In 1975 George and Joyce moved to the farm north of Princeton where they resided until 2012.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Hoeft (Ted Travica) of Princeton; grandsons, Chad (Kim) Hoeft of Princeton, Dan (Heather) Hoeft of Perham, Todd (Beth) Boettcher of Nebraska, Kelly (Ione) Boettcher of Princeton and Donald (Amy) Boettcher of Duluth; 12 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law Mae House of Osseo.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband George; son James; brother James; and son-in-law Harvey.
Visitation will be Friday, March 28 at the Elim Chapel in Princeton, Minn. from 6-7 p.m. with a memorial prayer service at 7 p.m.
