Two go to hospital after Saturday crash

Two people were taken to area hospitals following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 95 in Princeton Saturday, April 5.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol: Nicolas Izzo, 39, of Isanti, was traveling eastbound on Highway 95 shortly after 9 p.m.  in a 2009 Hyundai Sonata, approaching the northbound ramps of Highway 169, when a 2005 GMC pickup driven by Aaron Borg, 19, of Princeton, pulled out in front of the Izzo vehicle from a stop sign on the northbound ramp of Highway 169. The Izzo vehicle came to rest in the center median, while the Borg vehicle came to rest in the eastbound lane, facing southbound, the patrol stated. Izzo suffered injuries to his left arm, left knee, neck and back. He went to the emergency room at Cambridge Hospital. Borg suffered injuries to both knees. He was taken by family members to the emergency room at Fairview Northland Medical Center. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
