Princeton woman killed in crash

A Princeton woman was killed in an early morning crash Wednesday, April 16 southeast of Princeton.

Eleanor M Lindahl, 85, rural Princeton, was pronounced dead at the scene, located at Isanti County Road 5 and Feldspar St. NW.

According to the Isanti County Sheriff’s Department: Lindahl was eastbound in an unspecified Buick when her vehicle began to fishtail, causing it to hit the right shoulder. Lindahl overcorrected and went into the westbound lane of traffic where her vehicle was hit head-on by a Jeep driven by a 42-year-old Andover woman.

Witnesses told investigators that the driver had no time to react to the vehicle in her lane. She was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the Sheriff’s Department stated.

Deputies at the scene indicated that weather and road conditions were a contributing factor to the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
