Raymond Polsfuss

 

Ray, age 83, passed away peacefully at Essentia St. Josephs hospital in Brainerd, MN on Wed. April 23, 2014 surrounded by family.

Ray was born in Princeton, MN on Dec. 29, 1930. After graduation from Princeton High School, where he enjoyed playing football, Ray joined the army and spent two years in Korea during the war. He married Olive Kelly in Sept. of 1954. Ray retired from Honeywell in 1989 at the age of 59 where he worked as an engineer on many government projects including the guidance system on Apollo 13. Ray was very active in the VFW, serving as Commander for three years and District Commander for one year.

Raymond is survived by his wife Olive; children, Holly (Jay) Lueck and Thad (Marian) Polsfuss; grandchildren, Adam, Shane, Marissa and Corey; also by many other relatives and friends.

Ray was not only giving in life, but also in death. He requested his remains be donated to the University of Minnesota Anatomy Bequest Program Medical School.

Per Rays request there will be no services.
