Peter Potvin

Peter PotvinPeter James Potvin, 71, of Princeton, MN passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Foley Nursing Home in Foley, MN.
On June 18, 1942, Peter was born in Cass Lake, MN to Harry and Clairbel (Perrizo) Potvin. During his high school years, he worked at his family owned movie theatre; this is where he met the love of his life, Jane Ruth Weiralich. On October 30, 1962 the two were married and they made their home in Duluth for a year and a half before moving to Princeton where they raised two sons, Perry and Scott. Peter worked at Petes Barber shop for 43 years and was on the Princeton Fire Department for 20 years as a volunteer up until his retirement.
He had a passion for the great outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Peter would take many trips to Cass Lake to deer hunt and go to Mille Lacs Lake to fish. He loved to travel, especially, to Las Vegas. Peter was known to be a jokester and will be missed by many.
Peter is survived by his sons, Perry (Judy) Potvin of Princeton and Scott Potvin of Princeton; grandchildren, Joshua, Nicholas and Bryce Potvin; and sister, Joanne (Al) Erickson of Blaine.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and sister, Sally Adtkins.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2PM, Saturday, May 17, 2014 with visitation being held from 12-2PM at the Williams-Dingmann Funeral Home in Princeton.
