Shirley Marie Sanbeck, age 86, of Princeton, passed away Friday, August 1, 2014 at Fairview Northland Hospital, Princeton.
Shirley was born on June 6, 1928 in Trommald, Minnesota to Herman and Ethel (Jenkins) Bergeman.
Shirley married Kenneth A. Sanbeck October 15, 1946 in Crosby, MN. For the next 56 years they were a perfect couple who were very loving towards each other. Shirley loved sports especially watching the Minnesota Wild and Minnesota Twins.
She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she helped bake pies for fund raising. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies in Princeton, the Princeton Monthly Ladies Card Club, the Elk River American Legion Auxiliary and the Fairview Northland Medical Center Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Mark) Stang of Elk River; 2 grandchildren, Eric (Sarah) Stang of Princeton and Roxie Stang of Elk River; 3 great grandchildren, Alex, Bauer and Baxter Stang.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; parents; brothers, Harley, Al and Glen Bergeman; and sisters, Elizabeth Cook and Dorothy Holland.
A Funeral Service for Shirley was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Princeton. Visitation occurred from 9 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Interment took place Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 1:35 p.m. in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral, Princeton.
