School district has new human resource director

The Princeton School District’s new human resources director, Stacie Vos, is a Tiger for the third time.
Her school in her hometown of Springfield, Minnesota, has the Tigers mascot, and so does St. Cloud Tech High School, where she once worked. Now she is part of the Princeton Tigers.stacy vos1
Vos, who began her new job here on July 21, grew up on a small family farm, where she picked rocks and “walked the beans” to hoe weeds out of rows of soybeans. She says her father farmed without herbicides before it became popular, and that meant removing weeds the old fashioned way.
Before taking the Princeton job, Vos worked in the St. Cloud School District 20 years. That included teaching special education for about six years at Talahi Elementary, then being the assistant principal at Talahi for two years, before being assistant principal for six years each at Apollo and Tech High Schools.
One of her inspirations for going into education, Vos said, was her grandmother Mary Ann Larson, who was a teacher.
“I’m happy to be here,” Vos said. “It’s nice to be in a district where the students are first.”
Vos has three children – Brianna, 22, Kelsi, 21, and Macin, 16 – and enjoys reading, boating and wake surfing.
