It’s “Ole N Lena’s Wedding” and you’re invited. This is one wedding you won’t want to miss.
“Ole N Lena’s Wedding” will be presented at Captain’s on Long Lake in Isanti on Saturday Feb. 7, with a gathering time at 5:30 p.m. and the dinner show to begin at 6:30 p.m. The cost for the show is $29.95 which includes the buffet and show. Call Captains at 763-444-5897 for tickets.
“Ole N Lena’s Wedding “ features Ole Jr., son of the Ole and Lena, and Lena Jr., daughter of Sven and Tina, who are celebrating there nuptials at their crazy wedding reception. Along with these six principals, this delightful musical show features a highly creative and talented cast of six others. “Ole and Lena’s Wedding” is just like being at a real wedding reception, except for all of the wild antics created by these kooky Scandi-hoo-vians with there outrageous stories.
You will learn how the parents of the bride and groom, Ole and Lena Sr. met and of there surprise Las Vegas wedding; and also of Sven and his lovely Tina’s wedding day disaster. And why does Ole Jr. just happens to have a darker completion compared to his Scandinavian parents; what happened when they were on vacation in Mexico and Lena Sr. delivered a health bouncing baby boy? You will discover Ole Jr. and Lena’s big secrete; talk about the “white elephant in the room.” This is all tied together by an imaginative story line, which all comes together with a happy ending and an endearing message.
The play also features Pastor Connie, a close family friend in charge of the nuptials. It showcases Grandpa Swenson and how he found true romance – thanks to Walmart. The eccentric DJ will keep everyone on there toes- literally. The ‘dumb and dumber’ best man and maid of honor will keep everyone in stitches. Audience members will even have pictures taken with the fun newlyweds by the ‘in your face’ photographer.
There are special solos numbers, ‘precision’ choreography, many old standard wedding dances like the ‘Macarena, Hooky – Poky and the Chicken’, and loads of laughter. The wedding guests will be able to dance with the bride and groom. They will be able to enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine while they feast on the scrumptious dinner; there’s great food and drink, and yes, even wedding cake. It’s a fun time for everyone, presented in an outrageously funny, but tasteful, family friendly production.
