Winter storm warning issued for in Mille Lacs County

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18 for Mille Lacs County, including Milaca and Princeton.

Accumulations of 6 to 12 inches of snow are expected west of a line from Redwood Falls to St Cloud and Lake Mille Lacs. Mille Lacs County can expect 4 to 8 inches of snow. Strong winds will result in blowing and drifting snow.

Snow will begin to develop between 7-10 a.m., the National Weather Service states. The heaviest snow will fall between noon and 6 p.m. Snow will diminish by 9 p.m.
