SPIRE raises $1,835 for cancer society

SPIRE Credit Union employees at all 16 branches recently participated in a fundraiser benefitting the American Cancer Society. Employees who purchased a “Spire Pinktober” fundraising T-shirt would earn the privilege of wearing jeans to work every Wednesday during October. Proceeds from shirt sales resulted in a donation of $1,835. Spire has branch offices in Milaca and Princeton.

ECE announces Capital Credits refund
East Central Energy (ECE) will return $2.9 million to members this fall in the form of Capital Credits refunds. Members will see their refund reflected on their bill due in December. The ECE Board of Directors recently announced the refund, which brings the total returned to members over time to more than $69 million. Eligible members will see a bold blue line on their billing statement that says, “Capital Credits Refund,” designating the amount of their refund. The bill will be reduced by the amount shown on this line.
ECE is a electric utility company based in Braham. It services the City of Milaca and many rural townships in the Milaca and Princeton areas.

Shopko introduces credit card
Shopko has launched its first private label credit card program.
The new Shopko Credit Card, which can be used at any Shopko throughout the United States, will offer discounts, periodic deferred interest promotional financing offers and automatic gift card rewards, in addition to in-store instant approval.
Those signing up for the card will get 10 percent off one purchase in-store, upon approval. In addition to in-store and online Shopko purchases, a unique card feature is access to deferred interest promotional pricing, which will be offered during select periods. Shopko Credit Card program customers also will automatically receive a $10 gift card for each $200 spend.
Shopko has a retail store in Princeton.

Fairview excels in quality, excellence
Fairview Northland Medical Center took home two top honors from Press Ganey’s National Client Conference in early November.
The honors included the 2016 Press Ganey National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) Award for Outstanding Nursing Quality and the 2016 Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award for exceptional patient experience results in the Fairview Northland emergency department (ED).
In addition, Fairview Northland’s ED earned the 2016 Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award, which recognizes top-performing health care organizations that have consistently achieved the 95th percentile or above in patient experience over the course of a one-year reporting period.
