Letter: Church lends hand after tornado

The recent tornado affected many people with downed trees and damage. My wife posted our misfortune on Facebook, and that is when something amazing happened. We were contacted by Pastor Dennis from Souls Church in Princeton offering the services of their Tornado Relief Team. Knowing I had a big mess to clean up with a large tree that struck the corner of our house and rested on our damaged deck I accepted their offer of help. Early on a Saturday morning a team of ten volunteers arrived at my home. Beginning with a prayer to be a help and blessing to me in my time of need; they then proceeded to work on the clean-up. You hear the saying that Christians are to be the “hands and feet” of Jesus by serving others, and these Souls Church members demonstrated that service beautifully. Thank you Souls Church members for your service to the community.
