Criteria set for discounted lots

The City Council decided in January to offer seven lots in the Aero Business Park at First Street and 21st Avenue for $1 to stimulate development in the Rivertown Crossing area and then agreed April 6 on the lots’ development criteria. The buyer must pay assessment amounts owed, about $18,000 for each of the 1-acre lots and twice that for the 2-acre site; develop to a value of $400,000; start construction within six months of signing an agreement; finish building within one year of construction start; create at least two jobs; and submit all plans to the city for approval.
