Princeton library offers many spring activities

princeton – Sharing an activity you love doubles the fun, and a great way to share a love of reading is to join a book club. The Princeton Area Library, through East Central Regional Library, has access to a large number of book club kits for both adult and teen book clubs.
Over 25 new titles were recently added to the list of teen book club kits, bringing the total number of teen kits to 50. Each kit comes in a plastic tote box and contains 12 copies of each title plus a discussion guide for the book. Teachers, youth leaders or anyone who wants to lead a teen book club may reserve kits up to a year in advance; kits may be checked out for six weeks. Stop by the library and fill out a book club request form to reserve a kit.
Afternoon Delight Book Club, the adult book club at the Princeton Library, meets 3 p.m. the second Thursday of each month in the Community Room. New members are always welcome. Whether you enjoy fiction or non-fiction, you’re guaranteed a good read and lively conversation. We’ll be discussing Elizabeth Strout’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel “Olive Kitteridge” at our next meeting on Thursday, May 11. Please join us!
“I Remember: Writing Your Stories for Seniors,” a memoir-writing workshop, will be held this Saturday, April 29 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Community Room. Author and teacher Karlyn Coleman will lead senior citizens in writing, reading and sharing their special life stories and memories. This program is free and open to the public.
Spring is here and gardening time will be here soon. Home gardeners, please join us for “Water Wisely: Native Plants. . .Attract Pollinators,” 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 16.
