Improvements planned for Princeton airport

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senators Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken, along with Representative Rick Nolan, today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded Princeton Municipal Airport a grant of $45,000 for infrastructure improvements.
“This grant award will help Princeton Municipal Airport make critical investments in infrastructure improvements,” Klobuchar said. “Projects like these not only boost the economy, but they also help support good jobs.”
“The rehabilitation of Princeton Municipal Airport’s taxiway and runway is key to providing a first-rate level of safety to local passengers and businesses,” Franken said.
“The Princeton Municipal Airport is key to supporting good-paying jobs in our part of Minnesota,” Nolan said. “This investment in its infrastructure will ensure safer and more efficient transportation for all passengers and crewmembers.”
This grant will allow the airport to fund the rehabilitation of its taxiway, runway, and apron.
