Milaca schools add food service position to serve ALC

The school board approved adding 2.5 hours per day to the food service staff to accommodate a meal program at the Area Learning Center.
ALC students attend the school for a number of reasons- including issues with socialization. School district officials made the decision to segregate the ALC and main stream students during the lunch hour. ALC students will eat lunch in the ALC building.
To facilitate this, added time is needed to prepare food for the ALC students, as well as perform dish washer duties. The 2.5 hours will replace hours cut from the budget in the 2015-16 school year.
