Lunch period gets new look at PHS

Lunch time at Princeton High School will have a new look in 2017-18.
A change in lunchtime structure was needed because of a switch to a six-period class day at the school.
All students will have lunch for a full hour from 10:50 to 11:50 a.m. No classes will be taught during this hour, but an advisory period will be offered to students during half of this period on Mondays and Tuesdays. Students will choose to eat whenever they want within this time frame, except on their advisory day. On these days students will eat during the 30 minute block opposite their advisory, according to high school officials.
Campus is still closed for lunch, but the areas in the school where students can eat will be expanded to include the foyer, the P-gym hallway, sections of the media center, and some classrooms. New cafe-style tables will be available for eating in several areas.
Some food items will also be offered in satellite sites so many students may never enter the cafeteria at lunchtime.
