Aug. 1 Princeton School Board: In other school board news…

• The resignation of Tami Duke was accepted by the Board. Duke was a guidance counselor at Princeton High School.
• The Board approved a reimbursement plan for district employees requiring cell phone service. A monthly reimbursement fee of $45 was approved for phones with no data plan and $90 for phones with data plans. The reimbursement remains the same as in 2016-17.
• The middle school will use a Scrip-based fundraising effort in 2017-18. Under the program, area families will be able to purchase gift cards to major retailers through the school. The gift cards will be purchased at full price. The school will receive the value of a discount – generally 4 percent.
• The Board viewed a presentation on a new outdoor classroom space at the Princeton Primary School.
