Two weeks of playoff softball have concluded and the possible champion has been dwindled down in both divisions at Milaca Rec Park.
On Wednesday, July 26 Division AA top seeds, Milaca Alliance and Milaca Free battled for a spot in the finals. Milaca Free came out ahead 9-6.
At the same time Peace Christian Reformed Church, bested Bock Emanuel Luthern, 9-0, in the loser’s bracket.
At 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 1 (after deadline), Pease will play Alliance for the last spot in the championship game, which takes place Monday, Aug. 7 at 7:15 p.m.
Alliance beat Pease, 7-2, earlier in the tournament.
In the A tournament five teams remain.
Princeton Trinity, Princeton New Life, Bethel Christian Reformed, Zion Luthern and Milaca Lighthouse Fellowship all still have a shot.
Bethel is currently in the driver’s seat awaiting their opponent in the semifinal of the winner’s bracket. They play either Princeton New Life or Princeton Trinity on Aug. 1. The winner clinches a spot in the A final on Tuesday, Aug. 8 at 7:15 p.m.
