City accepts Lions gift of picnic shelter

The City Council agreed to permit the Princeton Lions Club to make a donation of $5,500 plus concrete and labor to erect a 24-foot by 24-foot picnic shelter in Rainbow Park, on the city’s north end. Lion Jack Breitkreutz explained that the Lions are doing the project as a way to commemorate the organization’s 100th anniversary. The shelter will look much like the one in Mark Park constructed by the Lions, but it will be slightly smaller.
