Milaca softball is preparing for an exciting season of growth this spring as Angela Helle prepares for her second year at the helm of the program. Helle, who led Mahtomedi High School to a historic state qualification after a playing career that saw her shine for Milaca as well as Bethel University, explained that the team will look to develop its offensive presence this season.
“I expect us to be good defensively and our goal for the year is to develop our offensive game. We are working to be a threat in our short game with bunting and aggressive base running. We have plenty of power in our lineup as well that will keep the defense on their toes. We want to have every player step up to the plate offering our team something,” Helle said.
